Where water gets stored and hauled, treatment works differently

Ash Fork Water Service supplies potable water “in a variety of ways” — a conventional piped domestic system for some customers, and standpipes for customers who haul their own water to on-site storage. It does not haul water itself. Properties on private wells in this part of the county face the standard Yavapai problem on top of it: a peer-reviewed analysis of 33,099 Arizona water samples put 43.6% of Yavapai County samples above the EPA’s 10 ppb arsenic limit, second-highest of any county in the state.
