Why Yavapai County only

The business used to market across the Phoenix metro as well. It did not work — not because the work was different, but because a one-man shop cannot be two hours away and still be the person who shows up when something goes wrong.

So the service area is Yavapai County, and only Yavapai County. There is no trip fee anywhere in it, including out past Kirkland and up the dirt roads in Williamson Valley. That is the trade: a smaller map, and the same person on it every time.

Warranty

The two-year workmanship warranty, in full

Two years on the workmanship, on work CreekWell actually did. If a joint made here leaks, a fixture installed here fails to seat, or a repair done here comes undone inside two years, it gets put right at no charge. That is the whole promise and there is no form to fill in — you call, and it gets dealt with.

What it does not cover, stated plainly so nobody finds out the hard way:

• Pre-existing pipe, fittings or fixtures that were already failing, including galvanized line that gives out somewhere else after a repair upstream.
• Parts you supplied. Manufacturer warranties on those are between you and the manufacturer; on parts CreekWell supplied, the manufacturer's own warranty passes straight through to you and usually runs longer than two years.
• Freeze damage, ground movement, tree roots, water pressure problems from the utility, and anything else that happens to the plumbing rather than to the work.
• Normal wear — a cartridge or a washer reaching the end of its life is not a workmanship failure.
• Work someone else touched afterwards.

It is a one-person shop, so the warranty is worth exactly what the person behind it is worth. That is the honest version. There is no bond behind it today and no insurance claim to make against it; when the Arizona contractor licensing comes through, there will be, and this page will say so.

What “not a licensed contractor” actually means

It is on every page of this website because Arizona law requires it, and because it is a real constraint you should understand before hiring anyone.

Thirty-two years in the trade is experience, not a license. An Arizona contractor's license is a separate thing — bonding, insurance requirements, ROC registration — and CreekWell does not hold one. Under the handyman exemption that means any single project must come in under $1,000 including labor and materials, cannot require a building permit, and cannot involve natural gas or propane at any price.

Those limits are why the service list looks the way it does, why the prices are published, and why you will sometimes be told on the phone that the job you have is somebody else's. That last one is not modesty. It is the law, and it is better said before the drive out than after.
