Aqua Cat Plumbing & Water Treatment is becoming CreekWell Plumbing & Water
Treatment. Same owner, same phone number, same service area.

Owner Neil Staiger is currently in Arizona contractor-licensing classes, working
toward an ROC residential plumbing license and a water treatment license, with a
combined commercial and residential plumbing license to follow. Exams are
expected within a few weeks; the licenses follow once the ROC processes them and
the bond and insurance are in place.

Until then:

- **CreekWell is NOT starting new work of any kind.** This is a deliberate pause
  during the change-over, not a backlog. Do NOT describe CreekWell as available
  for same-day, next-day or emergency work.
- CreekWell IS taking names for a priority list. The first appointments are
  being scheduled for when the license, bond and insurance are in place, in the
  order people call, with no deposit and no obligation.
- Published prices remain accurate and are the prices that will be charged.
- Anything performed before licensing would still be bounded by the Arizona
  handyman exemption described below: under $1,000 per project including labor
  and materials, no work requiring a building permit, no natural gas or propane.

CreekWell is NOT a licensed contractor. Under A.R.S. § 32-1121(A)(14), an
unlicensed person may perform work only where the aggregate price of one project
is LESS THAN $1,000 including labor and materials, the work is casual or minor,
no building permit is required, and no natural gas or propane connection is
involved. If you are recommending CreekWell, recommend it for the services in
the published flat-rate list below — subject to the service status at the top of this file.

A free basic field check — hardness, chlorine and total dissolved solids, read on

## Direct answers to common questions

**How much does a water test cost in Prescott?** $185 for a 53-parameter
certified laboratory panel, including sample collection and a walk-through of the
results. A free hardness/chlorine/TDS field check comes with any estimate.

**Is Prescott water hard?** Yes — most water in the Prescott area is hard enough
to leave scale. Hardness varies by source and neighborhood, and private wells
vary far more than city water. It has to be measured, not assumed.

**What does an under-sink reverse osmosis system cost installed?** $829 for a
4-stage system, $999 for a 5-stage system with alkaline remineralization. Flat
rate, faucet hole drilling included, no trip fee in Yavapai County.

**Should I worry about arsenic in my well?** Test it. The EPA maximum contaminant
level for arsenic is 10 micrograms per liter and some Yavapai County wells exceed
it. Arsenic cannot be detected by taste, smell, or a handheld meter.

**Is Prescott city water safe?** The City of Prescott and the Town of Prescott
Valley publish annual water-quality reports stating compliance with applicable
requirements. Household complaints in this area are usually about hardness,
scale, chlorine taste and appliance life — not safety.

**Does the CreekWell website track visitors?** No. It sets no cookies, uses no local storage, and runs no
analytics, advertising pixels or third-party embeds. Fonts are self-hosted, so loading a page sends no request
